Growing up on the Gulf Coast, you can instantly feel the relaxed vibe that Jonnie Morgan encompasses in his songs. His smooth melodic vocals are reminiscent of Jack Johnson while his guitar riffs are more on par with Dave Matthews; both major influences of Morgan’s while learning to write songs in his dorm room in college. After hitting the road for several years with his band, releasing two studio albums and a live record, he decided it was time to start directing his attention on his solo project and the art of writing songs. It eventually paid off.

In 2017, Jonnie was awarded JBL Professionals #1 Songwriter in the nation by legendary producer Quincy Jones and hit songwriter Andrew McMahon for their Eon One Take contest (www.eononetake.com). Frequently touring the eastern United States, Jonnie has entertained audiences from the NCAA SEC Opening Day Fan Fair in Nashville to the ACUI World Wide Conference. Along with playing festivals throughout the South, including Sunfest, Jonnie has also had the honor to headline Florida Music Festival three times and has shared the stage with notable acts: Edwin McCain, Cheap Trick, Relient K, Sammy Hagar, Tim Reynolds from Dave Matthews Band and many more.
