McCurdy's Comedy Theatre was established in Sarasota/Bradenton Florida in 1988. Our new facility is a 7100 square foot purple building located in the heart of Historic Downtown Sarasota's East End at the intersection of Ringling Boulevard and Washington Avenue. The theatre was completely remodeled to create a world-class showroom devoted to the art of Stand-up Comedy. The Green Room is a great place to visit and have a drink before or after the show with a full bar and a great menu which is also available in the showroom.

The showroom is 4200 square feet with comfortable cabaret style seating. The majority of the seats are less than thirty-five feet from the stage. The stage is flanked by two seventy inch high definition monitors. McCurdy's embraces green technology wherever possible and most of the lighting inside and outside the building is LED. The theatre has state-of-the-art production equipment for quality recording and streaming of theatre performances and events. The theatre is also a perfect place to accommodate training, seminars and presentations in a dynamic, professional atmosphere.
