The Tampa Bay, Florida band The Hazies made a big splash in 1996 with their catchy pop single "Skin and Bones." With the heart and soul of those who came before them, The Hazies's hard rock sound was enough for fans to make "Skin and Bones" one of the most-requested songs of that year. The second single "Trip" also garnered the band a Billboard mention and both songs made it to the top ten in rock radio formats which were included on the EMI released "Vinnie Smokin' in the Big Room."
The Hazies, which emerged out of the early stages of post-grunge, was originally named UROK and formed in Charlotte N.C. in the fall of 1989. By 1992 the band had went through two guitar players and eventually relocated to Tampa Bay in 1992. The lineup has stayed the same since then, with Ken Logan (vocals), David Walker (bass), Greg Czinke (guitar), Wes Eubanks (keyboards), and Steven Tanner (drums).
