Jesse Colin Young, legendary singer-songwriter and lead singer of The Youngbloods is back with an all new, smoking hot, 8 piece band and touring in a city near you!
Jesse Colin Young is best known for his songs Darkness Darkness( covered by Robert Plant), Sunlight( covered by 3 Dog Night), and the Youngblood’s cover of Get Together which is now considered the anthem of the 60’s.
Known for his captivating, soulful vocals and masterful guitar work, Young will be joined by an all Berklee College of Music band of 8 recent graduates. The combination is electric and fans are truly excited. Drawing from 50 years of well crafted, Billboard charting songs, Young and his band will cover his unique fusion of blues, jazz, country and folk rock to thrill his audiences everywhere.
Jesse’s long career has paired him with legends like Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Tracey Chapman, Billy Joel, Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne and so many more.
He articulates those times with such eloquence. His stories on stage relink those who remember what it was like to be in the music scene from Greenwhich Village in the early 60’s to the Summer of Love in 67, and through the 70’s onward. He has been a musical activist for the American Indian Movement, No Nukes, Better Education for our children and better medical care for our Veterans.
